As a member of Hewitt Associates (Aon Hewitt) European Leadership Council, he led senior management teams across Europe and brought significant growth to Hewitt Associates.
He later went on to develop the KPMG HR Consulting business in Germany. In his consulting career, he was the global lead consultant to a number of Hewitt’s biggest clients and worked with the C-Suite at a number of DAX 30 organisations as well as US Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining Hewitt Associates in Chicago, Niels served in the Danish Diplomatic Service as Commercial Affairs Officer with the Royal Danish Consulate General in Chicago. This was after his career start in the FMCG sector where he spent the early part in Australia and Denmark.

Niels developed the STAR® and Co-Zone® concepts through his years of C-Suite consulting, leading large consulting firms and senior consulting teams. In 2013, he founded +RASMUSSEN to further develop the C-Suite Consulting & Influencing training and coaching (CSC&I). In 2014, Niels was appointed Goodwill Ambassador to Copenhagen, Denmark, under the Protectorate of HRH Prince Joakim of Denmark.

He holds an MBA (Master of Management) from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and additionally completed MBA course work at Harvard Business School specialising in leading Professional Services Firms. His undergraduate studies were completed in Australia and Denmark.

Previously Head of Business Development at Jacobs University – one of Germany’s leading international education and research institutions – Philip was responsible for initiating strategic partnerships and client relations with special emphasis on German and Chinese multinational corporations.

In the business solutions department he managed an international team with innovative marketing and sales campaigns in the B2B sector, he developed executive education programs in the fields of Leadership & Management, Big Data and Industry 4.0, and he made comprehensive experiences in presenting service proposals to the C-suite level.

Prior to his Head of Business Development role, Philip was part of leading the corporate restructuring process at Jacobs University, in which he jointly developed and implemented the strategic plan for reorganizing and re-designing the entire university with a sustainable new business model. In this role, he consulted the different functional departments on an operative level as well as the leadership on a strategic level through developing, implementing and progress reporting on the many change projects.

Philip holds a PhD in the field of Organization and Management and is author of the Book 'Dynamic Capabilities – How Organizational Structures Affect Knowledge Processes' (published by palgrave macmillan 2013). He was involved in a large-scale interdisciplinary research project on autonomous cooperation in logistics systems with a strong focus on industry 4.0 technologies and applications.

She and her team successfully introduced a brand for wine and table accessories– VAGNBYS Danish Design - to the European market and established an agency and distribution network. Prior to Vagnbys, she re-launched a retail business – LAGOM White - for Danish Design and established the corresponding online business including online marketing and social media.

With almost 10 years in consulting with Hewitt Associates, Nicole worked as a senior consultant and practice leader in the field of Talent Management & Leadership. She was leading the German speaking countries of a global leadership study and established the Employer Branding consulting practice.


Nicole holds a MSc in Organizational Change & Leadership from Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, NC, USA as well as a Masters in International Business from the University of Applied Science in Mainz and a Degree as a Banker.

Heather Shaughnessy-Cato, co-founder and partner of Fieldbrook Advising LLC, is a Certified Facilitator for Designing Your Life and a teacher of mind-body practices including self-compassion and yoga. Heather has enjoyed a portfolio of professional experiences focused on serving the greater good, building community and cultivating wellbeing: as a mental health counselor; yoga, mindfulness and self-compassion teacher; development / fundraising professional working in leadership roles with non-profits and within higher education; and as a volunteer with a number of empowerment-based programs for youth. With a focus on mindfulness and self-compassion, Heather tends toward methodologies and practices that cultivate embodied ways of navigating life’s challenges with more awareness, curiosity, wisdom and ease. Heather holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She completed a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Certification in 2010, and the Mindful Self-Compassion teacher training and the Designing Your Life Certification in 2019. Heather has also completed trainings on and regularly integrates trauma-informed practices into her work. Heather lives in Maine in the United States with her husband and young child.

Herb Riband works in Lausanne, Switzerland as an independent global health policy advisor and advocated for innovative approaches to global health, healthcare delivery and healthy aging. He also enjoys serving as a life transition coach to students and professionals of all ages who are exploring “what comes next.” In December 2019, Herb and his wife Jeanine completed a 16-month fellowship at Stanford’s Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI), an amazing program that helps midlife individuals enhance their life journeys by renewing purpose, building new communities and recalibrating wellness. Herb enjoyed engaging with Dave Evans as part of the Stanford DCI Life Design program. He also loved the DCI program’s opportunities for intergenerational engagement in an academic setting, taking classes, lecturing, and mentoring students at both graduate and undergrad levels. Prior to Stanford, Herb had a diverse 31-year international career in four countries with leadership roles in multinational enterprises in biotechnology, medical technology, consumer goods, consulting and law. A native of Pennsylvania (USA), Herb has advanced degrees from Cornell University and the University of Michigan Law School. He is a citizen of the United States and Switzerland, where he has lived for the past 21 years.

Kathy Davies is the Managing Director of the Life Design Lab at Stanford University, where she teaches Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, and “Designing Your Life".She`s also the co-founder of Designing Your Life for Women and a Master Trainer of the Designing Your Life process. Kathy has 15 years of experience developing electromechanical and software products, and proudly hold five patents. She consults with Silicon Valley companies, teaches design thinking, conduct ethnographic research, and develops product strategies and concepts. Her experience includes roles as Sr. Product Manager at Arena Solutions, Sr. Manager of Technical Programs at D2M, Inc, Manager of Mechanical Engineering at nLighten Technologies and Mechanical Engineer at Cardica. Kathy believes design thinking and life design are a powerful mechanisms for getting unstuck, and she is a passionate advocate for use of design thinking to empower social change, especially around equity for women.

Susan Burnett is the co-founder of Designing Your Life for Women and a Master Trainer of the Designing Your Life process. She has dedicated the last 35 years of her career to catalyzing individual and business transformation and growth. She has held executive positions at Hewlett Packard, Gap Inc., Deloitte, Yahoo! and BTS, where she has led large scale business changes, cultural renewal, employee engagement, leadership development, and global marketing services in the computer systems industry. Susan is an adjunct professor at Antioch University, teaching Women and Leadership, and she taught Designing Your Life at Stanford, in companies and women’s retreats. She also is a regular speaker, consultant, and author on leadership development. Her Odyssey Plan for the next five years is all about empowering women to change the world!

Prior to joining Martin et Karczinski Daniel worked as CEO at Eclat in Zurich and Frankfurt since 1988. He had the project lead for various branding projects like Winterthur-Group, Eurex, Gurit, GM Europe, Aduno or UPK Basel and for more than 200 reporting projects in Switzerland and Germany

For more than ten years Daniel worked as an expert at CTI, the Commission for Technology and Innovation of Swiss Confederation.

Daniel is co-founder of the Geschäftsbericht-Symposium, the center of excellence for annual reporting, and Member of the Advisory Board at Zurich University of the Arts.
